In total we purchased $1,731.65 worth of stocks this month.
DIVIDEND REPORT :: OCTOBER 2021
This massive month was all due to a huge payout from VALE. VALE alone paid out over $2,000.00 this month. This was a regular dividend payment from VALE but the large amount was due mostly to iron-ore prices more than doubling during the pandemic. The spot price has since fallen to more normal levels so we unfortunately don’t expect repeat cash outs like this but no complaints when they come in. Further, comparing with last October there was no new payers this month and actually one less payment as SPG paid out in September this year instead of October.
Last month we noted we crossed our goal of $4,000.00 for the year. One month later we’ve now crossed $6,000.00 for the year. With two months left we’re going to see if we can cross $7,000.00. If we can. the real challenge then will be trying to top it in 2022.
STOCK PURCHASES :: ABBV, AFL, FAF, CVX, OHI, T, PRU, VZ, WBA, AMGN, MO, AEG
In the month of September we continued our small purchases of companies already in our portfolio. We purchased 1 share of AMGN for $214.29; 3 shares of AFL for $157.53; 3 shares of FAF for $202.44; 2 shares of ABBV for $218.68; 1 share of CVX for $102.77; 3 shares of MO for $138.57; 2 shares of T for $54.40; 3 shares of OHI for $90.27; 2 shares of PRU for $211.30; 3 shares of VZ for $162.66; 3 shares of WBA for $142.83; and 7 shares of AEG for $35.74. In total we purchased $1,731.48 worth of stocks this month.
DIVIDEND REPORT :: SEPTEMBER 2021
The increase was due to increase payments from PSX, V, HON, SWKS, JNJ, LYB, EVR, SNA, WBA, RHI, NWL, TSN, PRU, AEG, TROW, EVC, and AVGO. New payments from INTC, AMGN, CVX, MET, and FAF. Restarted dividends from LEA, though less than they were paying pre-pandemic. And Lastly, SPG paying out in Oct last year instead of September as is typical for them.
As noted throughout our posts this year, we expect the year over year percentages to vary wildly from month to month as the pandemic threw off the typical months a bunch of our companies payout. Overall we’ve crossed our original goal for this year of $4,000.00 in dividend income and are now seeing how much of a beat we can get on the year! We also hit the milestone of crossing $10,000.00 in total dividend income since the start of the portfolio in 2018!
STOCK PURCHASES :: ABBV, AMGN, CVX, FAF, VZ, MO, OHI, PRU, T, WBA, & AEG
In the month of August we continued our small purchases of companies already in our portfolio. We purchased 1 share of AMGN for $224.41; 4 shares of FAF for $284.12; 1 share of ABBV for $120.76; 2 shares of CVX for $195.90; 6 shares of MO for $300.60; 1 share of T for $27.46; 1 share of OHI for $33.47; 2 shares of PRU for $213.02; 5 shares of VZ for $275.45; 1 share of WBA for $49.90; and 2 shares of AEG for $9.84. In total we purchased $1,734.93 worth of stocks this month.
DIVIDEND REPORT :: AUGUST 2021
The decrease was mostly due to VALE paying out their March 2020 dividend in August 2020 because of covid and their dam problems. We also had CIM pay out in July this year where in 2020 the payment came in August. On the positive side, we had increases in payments from OHI, T, ABBV, AOS, and TXN. Plus new August payments from BMY and VZ.
As noted throughout our posts this year, we expect the year over year percentages to vary wildly from month to month as the pandemic threw off the typical months a bunch of our companies payout.
STOCK PURCHASES :: AMGN, FAF, ABBV, MO, OHI, PRU, T, AEG
In the month of July we purchased a number of shares in companies we currently own in our portfolio. It was basically a repeat of our May and June purchases as we look to get to “full” positions in AMGN and FAF, as well as, add to some of our higher yielders. We purchased 2 shares of AMGN for $483.68; 10 shares of FAF for $670.40; 2 shares of ABBV for $234.12; 3 shares of MO for $144.57; 2 shares of T for $56.59; 1 share of OHI for $36.78; 1 share of PRU for $101.06; and 1 shares of AEG for $4.24. In total we purchased $1,731.44 worth of stocks this month.
DIVIDEND REPORT :: JULY 2021
The increase was mostly due to (2) special dividend payments. One from TROW at $3.00/share and the other from VALE at $0.436/share. VALE has been crushing it this year and the CEO even suggested a possible special fourth (VALE typically pays bi-annually) dividend in December. We also saw payments from FL and AEG who this time last year had suspended their payments.
We had one new payment from CSCO, CIM paying out in July instead of August like last year, and increased payments from MO, LECO, GNTX, CMCSA, SPG, and MSM. This was all in spite of regular payments from AVGO, EVC, and TROW hitting in June this year instead of July as in 2020. As noted throughout our posts this year, we expect the year over year percentages to vary wildly from month to month as the pandemic threw off the typical months a bunch of our companies payout.
However, we know things are going well as we just passed our 2020 total dividends and there’s still FIVE months to go in 2021.
STOCK PURCHASES :: AMGN, FAF, ABBV, PRU, MO, OHI, T, AEG
In the month of June we purchased a number of shares in companies we currently own in our portfolio. It was basically a repeat of our May purchases as we look to get to “full” positions in AMGN and FAF, as well as, add to some of our higher yielders. We purchased 3 shares of AMGN for $729.12; 9 shares of FAF for $556.74; 1 share of ABBV for $112.57; 3 shares of MO for $141.80; 1 share of T for $28.74; 1 share of OHI for $36.43; 1 share of PRU for $102.03; and 6 shares of AEG for $24.66. In total we purchased $1,732.09 worth of stocks this month.
DIVIDEND REPORT :: JUNE 2021
For June 2021, the Divs4Jesus Portfolio received dividend income from twenty-three different companies (AFL, PSX, V, INTC, HON, SWKS, JNJ, SNA, CVX, EVR, WBA, MET, LYB, FAF, RHI, NWL, TSN, PRU, SEIC, TROW, LEA, EVC, AVGO). The total was $379.85 This was a 123% increase from June of 2020 where the total was $170.46.
The increase was due to new payouts from AFL, INTC, CVX, MET, FAF, SEIC. A resumption of dividends in LEA. TROW, EVC, AVGO paying out in June this year instead of July. And finally increased payouts from PSX, V, HON, SWKS, JNJ, SNA, EVR, WBA, LYB, RHI, NWL, TSN, PRU. As noted prior, we expect the year over year percentages to vary wildly from month to month as the pandemic threw off the typical months a bunch of our companies payout. However, we’re happy to take these 100% increases and tracking the yr/yr we are well ahead of where we were last year.
